What to expect

My sessions last 60-75 minutes. Traditionally, Rolfing’s vision is concluded after 10 sessions. I would recommend at least 3 sessions to allow time for the body to organize but I have seen people for only one session and have others that come back after a 10 series is complete. The pace of the 10 series can be done twice a week to once every month. Integration and awareness by the client’s body happens in between. As structural restrictions are progressively reduced, the client becomes more aligned, and moves with more ease. Oftentimes I think of a series of Rolfing as getting people to their next possible level of organization based on where they started.

The 1st session will include several extra minutes of questions, history, and note taking. Each session will start with an analysis of posture, breath, and walking pattern while my assistant takes notes. Then roughly 55 minutes on the table working on the fascia manually. The client will have more movement analysis, and then possibly focused bench work to conclude.

What to wear

Running shorts or lose fitting pants and shirts, sports bras or underwear are all common. Latex garments are not ideal.

Your comfort is paramount.
